Unit 6: Inheritance and Variation of Traits
Students will be exploring the relationship between proteins, DNA, chromosomes, traits that are passed on from parent to offspring
BILL Cover add 3 colored pictures to each topic
First Semester Reflection Choose 4 questions page A in BILL
1.7 Zooming in at the Molecular Level (With Video in Lecture)
1.8 Cases - Do DNA Mutations Matter?
Unit #8 Lizards and Bees
Students will explore the process of speciation in anole lizards and use phylogenetic tress to explain relatedness. We will continue with our study of the environment and how we interact with other living things.
BILL #50B Interview Questions for Farmers Market
Unit 7: Why don't antibiotics work the way that they used to?
In this 5 week unit, students will be developing questions and models about what are bacteria, how do they make us sick and how we treat them.
Lesson 3: Where do bacteria live around us? Complete three CER 2 from the first two questions and 1 from the second set of questions
Lesson 11: How does changing the environment that the bacteria are in affect the population?

Lesson 12: How did the bacteria population become more resistant in every system?
A. There is Heritable trait variation within a population of organisms.
B. Something changed in the environment that the population of organisms was in (or went into).
C. The environmental change put selection pressure on the population of organisms so that some trait variations had a competitive advantage (increased odds) for surviving over time.
D. When there are available resources, those organisms that survived will reproduce, making more organisms with the same variation(s)as the parent(s). Organisms that died cannot reproduce and cannot pass on their variations.

Lesson 12 Home Learning Use the 5 of the 7 different colors in our model. Find the information that relates to our model in Lamarck and Darwin's theories on the back of the page to fill in the table.
